Dong, born in Shanghai, graduated from Nihon University in Tokyo Japan with a Master’s Degree in Art and Design. He moved to West Coast of the United States 20 years ago, now currently resides in City of Los Angeles California.

He has spent many years researching and practicing traditional painting as well as digital art. His passion of these two different worlds has given him a unique insight and perspective to explore a new approach of creativity, technique, and interpretation. As a result, He has developed a new style of painting.

It expresses vibrant color with traditional techniques. The subject matter transforms beauty and nature with digital imagery. It emphasizes movement and dimension while simultaneously being static. While the foundation is traditional, it is influenced by the development of technology in today’s digital age.
